Of this series of photographs, Patrick Vickers says, "I'm drawn to textures and colors, but why these textures and colors? Dunno. If they were people pictures, I could speak about how the blurry portraits are representative of my memory of people–blurry–but these aren't people... maybe my memory is full of texture? My brain is a carpet of dog hair and cheap couches covered in cheaper materials in patterns that want to be plaid."
